$3 MILLION CLARKSVILLE WINNER RELISHES HIS INCREDIBLE GOOD FORTUNE

A Clarksville dad says an incredible $3 million prize won playing the Tennessee Lottery’s “Mighty Jumbo Bucks” instant game “couldn’t have come at a better time.” With two young children and a third child on the way, it’s easy to see why.

“It feels unreal,” said Shane Hexamer, who claimed his prize late afternoon on Friday, July 21. “I’m just ready to wake up.” Shane purchased the lucky ticket earlier that day at Timesavers in Portland.

This is the 215th winning ticket of $1million or more sold by the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation since it began on January 20, 2004.

FISCAL YEAR CLOSES WITH NEARLY $4.2 BILLION FOR EDUCATION

The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation has closed its Fiscal Year with a contribution of $386.7 million for all Lottery-funded education programs, bringing the total to nearly $4.2 billion since sales began Jan. 20, 2004. Sales of popular instant games were up 2.1 percent over the previous year, while the Lottery’s Tennessee-only draw-style games collectively were up 3.4 percent over last year.

“The Lottery continues to be a valuable source of funding for the nationally recognized education programs we help fund,” said Rebecca Hargrove, President and CEO of the Tennessee Lottery. “This year’s performance is great news for students and families, and I’m proud of our entire team.”

$100,000 POWERBALL WINNERS IN ARDMORE, SPRINGFIELD

There are more prizes to win playing Tennessee Lottery drawing-style games than just the big jackpots. Last night's Powerball drawing created 11,122 winning tickets in Tennessee, including two $100,000 Power Play winners, one in Ardmore and one in Springfield.

These two lucky players won by matching 4 of the 5 white numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number. Both players added the “Power Play” option for an extra dollar, which multiplied the base prize of $50,000 by the “Power Play” number drawn, which was 2.

No information is available about the winners until the prizes are claimed.
